Feeding: | Omnivore: will take flake, which should be supplemented with live and frozen foods. |
Sexing: | Males have long thread-like extensions on the dorsal and anal fins. |
Breeding: | Eggs are scattered among fine leaved plants (or spawning mops), and may take 8-12
days to hatch. |

This species is hardier than its delicate appearance suggests, but it should be kept
with peaceful companions as it is not as lively and robust as many other rainbows.
